PRELIMINARY CONSULTATION

The form and style theme which helps determine shapes and organise spaces is also considered, as is preferred plants and materials.
MAIN CONSIDERATIONS:
1. The current use of the space;
2. What does the improved space look like in terms of function;
3. Your aesthetic vision;
4. Your maintenance expectations;
5. What is your budget
A call out fee of $150 including gst
(30-60 mins) will be paid prior to the consult (refundable on purchase of a package).

PACKAGE PROPOSAL AND QUOTE:
A 'reverse design brief' detailing the initial meeting in full and a quote for the Concept Design will be e mailed to the client for consideration.
Upon approval, this should be signed and returned in order for the design to proceed.
An invoice will then be issued as a deposit (40% of the design fee).

SITE ANALYSIS / SITE VISIT
A site inventory compiled at the second meeting determines various factors which will establish plant selection, placement and function of the garden.
This will include:
* Photographing / measuring site;
* Noting existing hard/soft scaping;
* Evaluating practical issues (ie screening neighbours), or conversely highlighting 'a borrowed view' (incorporating a landscape into the composition of the garden);
* Considering existing and potential focal points (including transitional areas);
* A soil sample taken for analysis;
* Drainage;
* Environmental factors
(sun/shade and wind patterns);
* Diagrammatic/functional sketches which help break down how the space is utilised and how it flows.
Having had the initial consultation prior to the site visit, the designer will have some ideas, visual references and suggestions for the project.
NB: If hardscaping is required a Council plan should be provided specifying water mains; drainage; boundary lines and current by the property owner

HAND-RENDERED
AND CAD DRAWINGS
HAND RENDERED DRAWINGS
Hand sketches showing perspective and broad design ideas are presented in either a zoom meeting or in person. After the discussion of the proposed design and necessary alterations are made, the development of the concept design begins.
MASTER CONCEPT PLAN
The Concept Master Plan is a high level, detailed, to-scale plan that identifies proposed planting in designated areas; placement of existing/proposed hardscaping; a plant pallette; additional features (pots/water features/pools); lighting, irrigation, existing fences/boundaries and defined areas.
CAD DRAWINGS / 3-D DRAWINGS
Computer aided drawings will be developed - concept plan and planting plan.
3-D drawings are available at an additional cost (to be quoted).
*The client will provide a 'to-scale' architectural plan showing existing hardscaping, house location, boundaries (including water mains; drainage etc) prior to the design process. If this is not available we are able to quote and execute a plan (depending on complexity) or can recommend a chartered surveyor to develop a plan for you.
